HIT CHALET

A UFO has landed on the city’s rooftops:
For the hotel’s winter season, a temporary piece of micro-architecture was created on the rooftop terrace of Haus im Tal. Its green, jagged façade—reminiscent of an oversized, contemporary Christmas tree—offers a dry and sheltered space for parties, mulled-wine service, and a DJ booth during the wet winter months.
The structure was fully conceived, designed, and built, and can be compactly dismantled after the season and reassembled the following year. The project is based on an efficient material strategy using low-cost, dip-impregnated roof battens combined with reusable steel scaffolding components.
