PENTHOUSE ABOVE THE ROOFTOPS
client: Anagram
comissiones by: Buero Kofink Schels
In an abandoned apartment in the center of Munich, a temporary, multifunctional venue and gathering space was created—one that preserves the original character of the penthouse while offering a fresh interpretation. The slightly old-fashioned charm of the rooms was intentionally retained, yet subtly enhanced and expanded through carefully placed contemporary elements.
The interior transformation relied on simple, low-cost, and circular materials such as hollow bricks, which can be fully repurposed after the temporary use of the space. The design allows for flexible reconfiguration, enabling a wide range of formats—from focused work sessions and workshops to larger celebrations.
The penthouse has evolved into a small, almost Mediterranean retreat above Munich’s urban bustle: a place for lingering, celebrating, and stepping away from the everyday rush, bringing new life to the atmosphere of the space.
