Assisting Konstantin Grcic, I contributed to the design of ARENAS, a temporary public installation aimed at activating communal space and encouraging spontaneous interaction. Located on the western edge of Felipe VI Park in Logroño, the project featured three circular structures made of modular scaffolding and topped with fluttering blue flags, creating a festive and inviting atmosphere.
Each “arena” was dedicated to a different form of collective activity: one hosted a circular basketball court, another a drum circle, and the third a ring of swings. These spaces invited visitors of all ages to engage physically and socially—whether through casual games, musical improvisation, or playful movement.
The design emphasized openness and adaptability, allowing for a wide range of public appropriations. ARENAS transformed a peripheral zone of the park into a vibrant social node, blurring the lines between sport, play, and performance.
